Indoors defense

The left back and right back are playing a zone defense.
Left back is responsible for the left side/zone of the goal.
The back has to pick up the person in that area.
If there are multiple players, the back picks up the player in the best
scoring position/closest to the goal.
Right back is responsible for the right side/zone of the goal.
The back has to pick up the person in that area.
If there are multiple players, the back picks up the player in the
best scoring position/closest to the goal.
Goalie has ball, and the backs must maintain their zone defense.
The most common way for goals to be scored is for the backs to leave their zone and the forward then passes to a player in the zone that the back just left, and they slap the ball into the goal.
Goalkeepers are good when the ball is in front. However, the sides of the goal is their weak spot.
It is in their periperal vision.
So, the backs have to do their utmost to cover the goalkeeper's blind spot.
Left forward's primary responsibility is to block the boards and force the ball to the middle, where the goalkeeper can do an effective job of tracking the ball.
Right forward's primary responsibility is to block the boards and force the ball to the middle, where the goalkeeper can do an effective job of tracking the ball.
Mid blocks out their counterpart and disrupts the middle passing lane.
Right shoulder defense - Always keep the opposition players slightly behind on your right shoulder.
Touch them slightly.
That way, you can run a soft pick and block them when they try to cut at the ball with your shoulder.
If you both cut at the same time, then you would accidentally block their path with your right
shoulder.
Defensive corners - All players have to be at the side of the goal. No one at midfield.
Goalkeeper is the only one in goal.
Players are stacked in pairs.
The front player closest to the goal goes to the rightmost player on the circle.
The player behind goes to the injector and covers right post at the same time.
The 2nd front goes to the 2nd rightmost attacker on the circle.
The defender behind the 2nd front goes to the left post.
The end defender can go downfield and look for a breakaway attack pass, if we win the ball on the
corner.
